Inspection

INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 8 Speakers)

(a) With the speaker installed, check that there is no looseness or other abnormalities.

(b) Check that there is no foreign matter in the speaker, no tears on the speaker cone or other abnormalities.

(c) Measure the resistance of the speaker.

Standard Resistance:

If the result is not as specified, replace the speaker.

(d) When there is a possibility that either the right or left speaker is malfunctioning, interchange the speakers and perform an inspection. If the malfunction disappears after interchanging the speakers, replace the malfunctioning speaker.

HINT:

Connect all connectors to the speakers when performing an inspection. If the result is not as specified, replace the speaker.

2. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 14 Speakers)

(a) With the speaker installed, check that there is no looseness or other abnormalities.

(b) Check that there is no foreign matter in the speaker, no tears on the speaker cone or other abnormalities.

(c) Measure the resistance of the speaker.

Standard Resistance:

Installation

1. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:

Do not touch the speaker cone.

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Install the front No. 2 speaker assembly with the 2 screws.

HINT:

Install the screws in the order shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 14 Speakers)

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Install the front No. 4 speaker assembly with the 2 screws.

Install the screws in the order shown in the illustration.

3. INSTALL NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH

6. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT:

1. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

2. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

3. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

4. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:

Do not touch the speaker cone.

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Lift the front No. 2 speaker assembly and disconnect the connector to remove it.

7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 14 Speakers)

NOTICE:

Do not touch the speaker cone.

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Lift the front No. 4 speaker assembly and disconnect the connector to remove it.
